General Session

Have you ever wondered if you’re the only one trying to navigate the tension of being Greek and Christian? The stories you’ll hear at Greek Conference are all from people who get it because they’ve lived it too. In General Session, you’ll get to hear stories from Greek alumni and students about their experiences being Greek and Christian. This is the space where you’ll hear from experts and have an opportunity to engage with new experiences and new people. Whatever council, school, or Greek organization you’re a part of, this space is for you.

Speaker

John MacKorell (JMack)

Sigma Nu

John, or JMack as his brothers call him, joined Greek Life for none of the noble reasons like leadership or philanthropy. It was all about big parties and living the good life. He lived the work hard, play harder lifestyle typified by many fraternity guys and loved it, at first. Party after party, though, he found himself asking bigger questions about life. Through those questions, along with a brief trip to jail, led him to not only rediscovering Jesus but also helping his brothers do the same. Since then, John has mentored and spoken to Greeks from across the country helping them ask bigger questions about their view of the good life and what God has to offer.

Deepen

Discover and Deepen Your Faith

It’s been said that what comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us. We all have different feelings and views about God and what it means to live a life of faith. All of which can have a profound effect on the way we approach faith and live our lives. Whether you’ve spent your whole life in church or never set foot in one, Deepen will help you discover a new perspective and bring a new level of depth to your faith.

Influence

Turn Your Career Into a Calling

Over the course of your life, 40% of your waking hours will be spent at work. Yet, only 10% of church goers have heard a sermon about work. In Influence, you’ll not only discover the profound impact our faith can have on our work but also gain practical skills on how to integrate your faith and work from experienced faith leaders in your field of study. It’s often cited that Greek alumni comprise a disproportionate number of leadership positions in our society. Learn how to leverage that influence for a greater purpose and a more meaningful career.

  • "I realized that God was proud of me for me. Yes I fall short of his glory, but I keep running back to him and meeting him. What’s also great is that he meets me in my pace as much as I meet him.”

    Alpha Tau Omega, Deepen

  • “I always thought of work as something outside of Jesus, and now I know it can be both.”
